I have a 2006 Chevrolet 2wd truck with a 5.3. I have someone who is interested in buying the engine out of my truck. My question is, which 6.0 and 6.2 engines (year ranges and vehicles found in) will bolt and plug right in (excluding tuning). I have been told that the cam plate (for the cam sensor) on my engine is a single slot and the others are 4 slot. Would this be the only thing I would need to swap out to bolt a larger displacement engine in my truck? Thanks for the input guys, let me know what you know. Thanks Ryan

Yours should be the 24x crank sensor wheel so you need something like that for the 06 down but the cam sensor might have changed at some time i am not sure, so someone else will have to chime in on that.
