Professional Photoshoot with the C6 today

Photos were taken by Jonathan Aldridge (silversixx on the forum). If anyone wants to get their car photographed I can pass along his info.

I spent about 10 hours detailing my car. It needed it as it was starting to show some light swirling under direct light and fluorescents. The last picture here is a good indicator of the condition it's in now  I do detailing as a side source of income, so I have PLENTY of product to blow through; might as well throw it on mine now and then, lol :willy:

We spent about 4 hours going to different locations and had a lot of fun. We were all over the Sugar Land, Katy and Brookshire area getting these shots today.

Had a lot of fun today...and like I said, if anyone wants his info, just shoot me a PM. He's planning a big photoshoot day in various locations coming up pretty soon here. The more cars the merrier

Hey everyone I'm Jonathan, the photographer that did these pictures.

Had a great time today Shawn, the c6 was looking clean as always!

great C6. by far my favorite is the last one.

its at times like this that makes me wish i didnt live in Abilene. there is no one here (at least that i have found) that will do this. i think they have all left to go work in DFW, H-Town, SA, or ATX. mainly becuase the car scene is terrible, too many dumb kids in Eclipses, Civics, and Carollas.

Last pic looks nice!

Cool looking pics.

Jonathan, you need to buy a polarizer for that lens. Reflections and glare on the glass and paint can be a killer. The black/white ones look the best up there.

Nice pics, good choice in backgrounds.

Thanks everyone for the great comments!

I was using one the entire time, they only work best when you are at an angle with the sun. In the "rice drier" pic I was using one as well, but the sun was right behind me.

Try this out next time. The polarizer can be used to kill two different things. Sun glare, as well as paint reflections. On that rice drier pic you mentioned, the polarizer could have been used to kill the reflection of the building on the hood, as well as made the windshield appear more invisible, allowing you to see more into the interior. Some of my shots use the polarizer to kill unwanted reflections along the side of a car too, stuff like clutter or ugly buildings in the background that reflect on paint.

Keep up the nice work though!

I guess it worked out alright then by coincidence, because I really like the reflection in the hood on that pic

I was using a polarizer the entire time, they work at a minimum under certain conditions, certain angles with the sun.

I Like the reflection as well, shows how perfect the paint is.

Car looks great Shawn.. Good work there.

I like the black and white ones a lot, the others seem to have harsh shadows on the foreground side of the car which are kinda distracting.

Very good angles and scene set up regardless.

The first Black and White shot has grown on me to now probably being my favorite of the bunch.
