And what would happen if you got on a Law Enforcement Forum? I'm just saying that you have to understand Cops bash Racers, Racers bash Cops, Indians bash Cowboys, and Cowboys bash Indians. It doesn't mean we don't appreciate the job you/they do it's just nature. I'm sure if tunedout's car gets stolen and it's one of our finest that bring it back he'll be greatly indebted. Point to be taken is don't take what is said here personally,it's not worth it

PS how can you complain about what is said here and then tell us you love Supertroopers, that movie is the Fast & Furious of Law Enforcement!!

So far most of the State Troopers I have run into seem to be OK east of San Antonio. I can't say anything good for the majority of them west of SA. Not really sure what happens.

Well meow, hopefully you learned your lesson.

All the state troopers i know are pretty cool. Never have any issues, got a no inspection ticked on a car i just got, so that was kind of dumb since he knew it was a newly purchased ride. Then he wanted to ask how much i bench press, LOL.

I've been pulled over more times than I can remember, and the state troopers have always been the lenient and respectful ones. I have nothing but good things to say...

Don't get me started on the pissant small town cops I always run into, though.

I prefer the State Troopers over the County Sherrif or Local PD but I've never really had trouble with any of them - other than 1 guy, (and there have been many, many encounters unfortunately), they were all pretty cool guys once they figured out I wasn't a threat.

there always has to be that one cop that you'll never forget Mine was a County Mounty and he and I tangled a lot while I was growing up, twice ended up in court and once in the principal's office (he was our schools D.A.R.E. cop, which I was in high school and he was there for the elementary kids!! yes I went to a VERY small school) Anyway, I'll never forget him and I'm guessing he won't forget me

^^^hahahaha

i will say this...the worst cop to ever pull me over was in Missouri (i use to live in Belleville, IL). i have no idea why he pulled me over, i was doing 65 (at night) and doing nothing illegal.

but maybe there is something "fishy" about a black truck, with blacked out windows driving northeast on I44 in the middle of the night, haha.

he asked what i was doing. i said i am getting back from leave visiting my family in texas. he said have a good night.

Is it correct in very few instances? Probably. Should it be a blanket stereotype that is freely used? Absolutely not. Just because you have 2 or 3 bad experiences, doesn't mean that the other 3000 of us are anything like that Trooper. I will be the first to admit that every organization, department or place of employment has a few bad apples, but the whole batch isn't bad.
That is something I really try to believe in. But with the rash of LEO's on the news recently getting busted it's getting harder.

Given a choice of being pulled over by a state trooper or the city cop in Diboll who runs radar as you enter the city from the south side on US 59, I will take the trooper any day.

Even though I'm not in LE, my take is the city police who run radar are ticketing every person they pull over, while troopers and local Sheriff's are patrolling the state and county roads. I've had troopers and different Sherrif's cars coming at me and I was around 5-9 mph over the limit and they will flash their beacons for a couple of seconds and keep heading the other way. They are sending me a free message and it was appreciated.
