My "really old" western beer cooler

My "really old" western beer cooler So today we were at a gas station when my dad spotted this small flimsy wooden beer cooler that he liked cause it kinda look from the old west for $50 bucks. I told him why spend $50 if for that price I could make a way better one and he said I couldn't so the bet was on. As soon as we got home I took my power tools, did a little schematic, and took out some wood to start building.
I aged the wood to make it 20+ years old and I'm adding hand carved wooden handles to the sides tomorrow but here is what I have so far.
I'm actually in the process of setting up a small foundry to cast metal parts for my camaro and for other things but since my mother loved the way the aged wood look giving it a truly old western look that she now wants me to build her a some kitchen cabinets in that pattern with custom cast handles and some designs cut in the wood.
What do you guys think, please take note that it's still not finished it needs the handles and the hinges for the lid.

It was something like this but much more plain but with a foam cooler just sitting inside instead of the insulation that one has and simple hinges in the back so it wouldn't close right without a little push because of the way the foam cooler is shaped.

Not sure on the weight but it isn't that heavy and since I cut the bottom at a 45* angle making the bottom smaller it aids when you try to pick it up.

And the beer cooler is done for now later on I'll add some mesquite handles but for now it's ready for the beer and we were trying it out yesterday.
The new years has been pretty good except that at around 12:10-15 the lights went out in my black for a few hours. all we could see were the fireworks.
