Yeah there are 2 teams in la porte. My boy is 7. Spots are limited. So in order to get a spot on the team parents start camping out early. The other team people started camping out Thursday at noon to sign up Saturday morning. We were first in line for our team and we got there Friday around 530 to sign up Saturday at 9am

I would recommend paying a HS or college kid some money and get them to hold your spot in line for you. We did that when my son was signing up to play on the Deer Park Tigers. It really helped. Sounds like sign up is over though. Did he get on the team?

i applaud your commitment, i'm sure your son will appreciate it. next year you wont have to camp out since he will have a reserved spot as long as you register during the first registration date. i was the president for one of the local clubs for 5 years then coached for several more after that and it was a great experiance. if you are inclined to coach i would recommend getting involved during his first year since typically the coaches move up with the team year to year and all those coaching slots will be full going forward.
