Window Won't Roll Up (window motor is working)
 

Hey guys today I rolled my window down and when I got home I tried to roll it back up and no luck. I don't think the window motor went out since I can hear the motor try to run. It feels to me that the window is off the track because I can not pull the window up manually. About a month or so I locked my car keys in my car and had someone open it up. Could that have something to do with it? I am completely lost on how to fix this problem. Please help.

It could be the regulator inside the door locked up. That is the part the window rides on. Not trying to insult by clarifying... just some people don't know,

Just wondering but have you taken off the door panel to look to see if it might be off track?

if you find out it is the motor i have a brand new one that i have just laying around.

I just had this same problem, in my case one of the bolts that was holding the motor in place fell out and the motor was moving just enough that the track wasnt catching. Your going to have to pull off the door panel no matter what to see whats up.
