mine was a band clamp, at least i thought..
the only thing i did do when installing them that you may or may not have to do, is I noticed the flange on the pass. header was going to hit/rub the heat shield, so i cut a small rectangle in the heat shield, that the flange wouldn't hit/rub/anything else on it.

I have an old pic somewhere showing what i cut out, i'll see if I can find it. It may not be necessary at all, I just didnt want it to rub or squeak at all... but i wanted to keep the heat shield.

Here's a couple pics...
Header flange, pass side. You can see in this pic where the head shield is bolted to the car.
Heat shield, don't remember what the 9/32" was measuring, maybe the gap between the flange and floor board?
I know it looks close to the floor, I kinda thought the same during the install but I can assure you even being as close as it is on my car, it's never knocked on the floor or anything of the sort.

Also lowered on stranos, think these headers were on the car with the prokit for a couple weeks if i remember correctly, but maybe I'm wrong. Don't remember which went on the car first. Either way, I've only scraped a little once, with 3 people in the car and it was on a railroad track that was bent up some... purely accidental, didn't even see where it bent up, otherwise it wouldnt have scraped
