Default Getting a CHL in DFW?

My wife and I are planning to get CHLs in the near future. Since I guess one of the requirements is to complete a training, I'm looking to see what establishments would people recommend here?

Preferrably in the Denton/Lewisville/Flower Mound etc. area.

Thanks!

I went to elk castle in ftw. It was very informative and you can rent your firearm if you haven't purchased one yet. It's taught by former police and military.

i've gone to two different places now, and its basically the same wherever you go... they have to all teach the same material. just shop around for who has the best price in your area. as far as I can tell, all the places that offer the class also does everything else you need for your CHL application. they do your picture and fingerprint cards, and help you fill out the form. all you'll have to do is put a stamp on it and put it in the mailbox.

no matter where you go, the class is painfully long if you're someone that's been shooting most of your life. If you are a novice, you will probably find it pretty informative.

Yeah, I guess the content is regulated by the state, so just need to endure the 10 hours... I'm familiar with guns and have a couple already, so the instruction will probably be a bit boring. My wife, on the other hand, is a novice so she should find it informative. I hope...

Class prices seem to be pretty much the same everywhere you go, so I guess it's just a matter of choosing the closest one.

I took an AR class at Shoot Smart of 35 near Cabelas and it was a blast. Same guys teach their CHL classes.
