Default Is there anyone around Austin who can delete VATS from my 98 Fbody PCM?

Title speaks for itself.
Thanks.

It's for my 76 T/A with LS1 / T56 swap to get it running.

Deleting vats from the ecu will only turn of the security light on the dash. The vats system is controlled by the body control module which you shouldn't be using unless you have converted the interior harness

It wont crank unless VATS is disabled. Not just kill the security light. I would help OP but i just moved to DFW. Lets see the swapped 2nd gen!!! Did you have it posted as a roller on CL? I almost bought a 76 roller that had an LS in previously.

Nice looking car bud I have a 72 ss camaro with ls6 I finished about 3yrs ago! I can't believe not one person from Austin is chiming in about this.. push come to shove have the pcm shipped to a shop around the Houston area there's plenty people around here that will do that for a little of nothing or ship it to Lsx power tuning in College Station and get a mail order tune while you are at it..

Austin has a shitty LS scene. I could count on two hands how many serious LS guys i knew about. I was always driving to DFW, SA or college station to get parts.

I'm out of the loop on the ls swap wiring into another vehicle but I know deleting the vats in the ecu on fbody cars will not cure a no start problem. the ignition is still routed through the body control module so deleting the vats in the ecu has no effect on the vehicle starting.

However thE OP didn't state why he needed it deleted or the problem it was having

Thanks for recommend us. Yes if you mail us the pcm we can delete just VATS or delete VATS and do a mail order tune. We tune cars from Austin all the time in person, actually have a vehicle on the dyno right now from Austin.
