I need a tune and am debating between two DFW guys. sam is one of them.

for those that have been tuned by sam before, what was it like? was it a dyno tune only? was there any time driving around street tuning? my car is a street car so I need good manners on the street but id also like for it to run well WOT. thanks

Don't assume that he can't get it to have good street manners just because it's tuned on the dyno. But to help answer your question, he can do whichever is necessary. He has tuned 3 cars for me, one on nitrous on the dyno and two street tuned since they were mild builds. All performed perfectly in all areas.

I think you have picked good options, I don't know anything about Karger but I haven't seen anyone post anything bad about him, that's definately worth something. I always go to Sam as I have known him for 16-17 years, he is honest and does a damn good job, so I see no reason to "fix what aint broke" by trying other people.

My car was tuned on the dyno but when hes dpne squeezing every HP he can out of it he made a slow pass on it just letting it shift through all gears making sure nothing is acting up mine runs really hard when you want it too and just cruises when I want with great street manners just go with Sam you'll be happy you did

Pat G, I'm not going to get into a flame war or pissing match, but he's closer to me and very thorough, nice guy too.

lorenz @ LSX PowerTuning, Sam Miller, Pat G, Karger, Dave Steck..

You really cant go wrong with any of those 5. I went with Lornez since I run nitrous and thats more of his specialty.
