Finally in the 8's

Posting for the "Cam only" haters in here.. Finally figured out the boost control issue and starting to dial it in. Full street trim (9.5" front wheels) full exhaust etc. still working out details as this was the second pass. I figure it has an 8.6 or so in it.

Big time awesome dude. I know how you feel and it feels good.

twinturbo496 Jan 23, 2016 08:28 AM

Wow... Still stock rear ?

Did you figure out what caused the glide to fail?

madmike9396 Jan 23, 2016 08:42 AM

Freaking flying. Congratulations

Nice pass !!

I guess FTI fixed that trans in record time!

oscs Jan 23, 2016 11:03 AM

Thanks guys it's been a LONG road.. Car has been riddled with little BS wiring issues and few problems here and there. It's nice to finally see some results. I think the car will go faster too. My guess is 8.6@160mph. Best thing is this is a true street car. Full exhaust 9.5" wide front wheels etc.

oscs Jan 23, 2016 11:05 AM

Yes FTI did an AMAZING job fixing the trans and getting back to me in less than a week. I can't say enough about those guys.

Congrats man!

Damn good pass. Looks like it just took off like a slingshot without raising the nose!!

How does that chassis hold up in migher mph? Heard they start floating just over 100mph.

oscs Jan 25, 2016 11:31 AM

For an IRS car It just plants and goes.. I've had this car up around 160/170mph and honestly it sticks to the road like glue. IMO it's a great platform.

will69camaro Jan 25, 2016 12:32 PM

Congrats, that's hauling ass.

BigBronco Jan 25, 2016 01:28 PM

dig it

dsadsdaiouser Jan 25, 2016 02:27 PM

Great run and congratulations! That is hauling! :hail:

ReggD79LS1 Jan 26, 2016 03:05 PM

Sweet! Nice pass too bro. Congrats!

Everytime I read your threads I like the car more and more. I'll be honest, I was not a fan of the platform while you where first building it and getting it lined out, but I've come to love the car even thought I have not seen it in person yet.

Some people just don't like the car. Few guys in this section think its a "shitty platform" I personally love it. There are far superior options when building a fast car that is for sure. But this car offers something different and generally appeals to a large crowd of people. Now that it has dipped into the 8's even the die hard go fast guys give it a look. Its defiantly FAR from perfect. My attention to detail on the little shit is lacking and it shows. The paint is shitty and the body lines are fucked... Its usually dirty and there are a slew of zip ties used on the car but this thing hauls ass, turns heads and cruises the streets reliably!
