2 different cars, same dyno, 6 mos apart, same exact hp and tq
Ok , took my car to a local houston area shop ( ill leave unnamed for now) for e85 conversion and intake for my ctsv. Had been watching a thread over on ctsv owners forum of someone else that had coupe like mine with same mods. His hp on dyno sheet was 580.77 rwhp, 535.98 tq. His was done in march. Mine was done yesterday. Mine when i got it today was 580.77 and 535.98. EXACTLY the same. I think i have been duped and maybe the other guy too. Is this even possible for 2 different cars to have same
Exact numbers. I cant argue the car makes much more power now and the jnstall was fine. I would not have been upset if the power was a little lower (dyno) as long as it was the actual numbers. Ill post copies of the dyno sheets tomorrow.

I see your suspicion, it's reasonable. It's possible to get EXACTLY the same, but doesn't seem LIKELY to me. That said, it could be a rut in the numbers due to how it calculates. The easy way to verify isn't cheap, it will involve paying for another run. You could do it there, or somewhere else. You could add a simple mod (different air filter, different pulley, etc) and take it back to the same dyno, or just take it as is to a different one. Either way would give you some comfort if you're in the ballpark. What were the atmospherics on both runs?

I would look everywhere else at the graph and compare the two. If the numbers all across the board are the same then you definitely have something to complain about. There is, of course, a very small chance that they made the exact same power everywhere but that is very unlikely.

Here are the dyno sheets. I talked to the other owner and got him to send it to me.
Boost exactly the same, curve the same, hump at 4500 rpm on both (not on the 555HP one, but on both 480.77)
It IS the same dyno, with my name on it. I am positive.
Mine is Daren_E85, the other owner is Jason V Coupe E85
You be the judge...

There is zero question about it IMO, those are the same graphs.
You cant even get the same car to duplicate its own boost like that, let alone be absolutely identical to "yours" or anyone elses.

It only took about 15 seconds on google to find the shop name.
To the OP, my only suggestion would be you call the shop and ask to speak with the owner. This situation could easily be the result of an unscrupulous employee trying to inflate their personal tuning abilities, the owner may not be aware of what is going on...
Just my 2 cents...
