Machine shops in Texas that do what I need not what they want
Im looking for a shop that can bore out my cylinders a bit and balance my practically new rotating assembly with bigger pistons. Ive searched but so far Evey shop wants to rebuild my engine like its new and I'd rather buy an engine from gm if I have to get everything new.

Not sure why you'd want to spend the money for block work and rotating assembly to stroke an engine and not have it fully rebuilt at the same time.....doesn't compute.

Call Kim Barr at Kim Barr Racing Engines in Garland, TX. They don't open until 10 am so don't call early. They do excellent work and they are pretty quick. They have done the same work for me.

That's because no shop will want to release an engine that's not to a certain spec. They seek to avoid liability issues if a partially built engine comes out of their shop and pucks metal all over the place a month down the road.

Because like I said the engine is low mileage even the bearings looks pristine condition just a cylinder got a little scratched up I could just replace the piston and call it a day but I rather do them all. Now all I need it the work I request done, but no everyfucking shop wants to sell me my engine back new. When for the same price I can buy an crate ls3 from gm and call it a day. I've seen shop advertise how much they charge per cylinder and what everything they offer costs bu t they're in other states. Here everyone jumps straight to over 2000$ before parts.
