Default Rewiring LQ9 Motor

Anyone in the Houston area familiar with rewiring an LQ9 motor/modifying a wire harness or a shop that does this? I am putting it in my 76 Nova, but my motor is not quite in the car just yet. I am looking for some local advice if anyone can help with a few questions.

Thank you

If you wanted to do it yourself, this website is pure gold: http://lt1swap.com/wiringharness.htm

I'm very familiar with the wiring, though I have never taken a stock harness and converted it to standalone, but I'm 99.99% sure I could do it. I'm actually about to convert a 58x harness to standalone for a friend that's throwing an LS3 into an old truck.

If you want to get someone to just do it for you, there is a guy on craigslist that does it (just search for wiring harness ls1)

TXJeep. Im tempted to just leave the wiring harness alone and only use the plugs that are needed. Last thing I want is have some electrical gremlins because I nicked a wire or anything else. Thoughts?

Did your harness include the fuse box? Also, harnesses pulled from salvage vehicles usually do not come with the OBD2 port, does your harness have the port?

You can get away with leaving it alone, but you will need to find a spot to mount that huge fuse box that GM uses lol

Yes I got the fuse box for it, but I did not get the ODB2 port.

I'm in the process of doing this for the first time for an old car, I got an extra harness to use as a donor as I needed to extend some wires to where I'm mounting the ecm. I've been reading on lt1swap.com a lot. It's pretty simple but really time consuming, if I had the money for a psi harness I would've bought one. With that said, good luck, lol.
