Default pics of new wheels

Thanks Llyod for giving me a good deal! I love them!

http://www.darmer.com/kenny/

Thanks I've recently learned:
- I never knew how much faster my car could be if it actually hooked up.
- Nittos are pretty sticky and they like to pick up road "pebbles" and throw them at my wheel well, making a lot of irratating noise.
- My car looks 5 times better with nice rims and tires.
- "One rear tire" is an acceptable christmas present from my parents (they cost a lot)

anyway I finally learned how to put up some pics, I hope, and I wanted to share a pic of my new ride.
Kenny

ps, can somebody tell me how to get a good picture for my signature, like the one of the front of my car. I tried to but the size is too big, i think I could only get 100/100 pixles when I tried, and it looked even smaller than my "avatar". how to you guys get nice big pictures on there?
thanks

Was in the mood for messing around with images so I came up with this... the aspect ratio of the original image wasn't good for being resized or cropped into a signature-type size, so before resizing it I removed the original background and put in a different background since ya can't duplicate trees and buildings to fill the extra space very well Could also add your username or somesuch to it if you wanted to. Or heck, come up something else entirely if this isn't what you're looking for

ACW, thanks for taking the time to do that, I like it! I want to put some other little things in it probably. I guess I just need to play around with photo shop some. you're saying just crop the image and then resize it, to a more wide picture, but how should I save it to use for my signature on here. Is there a certain format, size I need? do people just put some picture on a website then put the source link thing in their signature so it pops up?
thanks for the compliments too

The general range of sizes I've seen around here is up to 300-450 pixels wide and up to 100-150 pixels tall. I saved that example as JPG format with 15% compression. If you save as GIF, or as JPG but with too high of a compression ratio, the colors usually won't look right.

To display the finished image in your signature, upload it to your website and then add this code to your signature, but leave out the space in the closing img tag:
[img]http://www.darmer.com/kenny/bigsteele.jpg[ /img]
(Of course, if you name yours something different than bigsteele.jpg, replace that part with the correct filename.)

And if you want to link the image to your website, you can do it like this (again, without the spaces):
[url=http://www.darmer.com/kenny/][img]http://www.darmer.com/kenny/bigsteele.jpg[ /img][ /url]

I did the headlights myself. it was pretty easy. I love the way it looks compared to the stock ones, especially because my car is black. My lenses were pretty colored/foggy so I got some 2000 wet sand and tried to polish them up. It worked pretty good but they get kind of hazy when they are dry, so when I wash my car (very often) I spray WD40 on a towel and wipe it on the lenses and they turn clear. The wd40 stays on for a while. I followed the directions off a website, Ill try to post a link. It was pretty simple, just be careful with prying them off and masking the back parts.

ACW, how did you crop out the outline of the car so well, what did you use in photoshop? I was playing around with the "magic wand" and I guess this is the tool to do it but it would get stuff I didnt want to outline. How did you do it? thanks

I actually use Paint Shop Pro for a lot of stuff, the tool in there is called 'Freehand'... in Photoshop, it's the 'Polygonal Lasso Tool'. To follow the outline closely, I like to zoom in to 2x or more from the normal size. At that size, and plus making it even smaller to fit in the signature when you're done, you can be off a little in a few places and it won't show up in the finished product.

I can send you an email with a PSD file of the image I gave earlier, if you want to be able to get the separate car layer in it; too big to upload here though.
