Default pwned . once again.

as a few of you know i have been gathering everything i could for a ls1 install into my 1993 z28. i had found a totalled 98 z28 42k miles. car was not bad for what i paid for it. had it at a storage lot for like a few mths. a few kids decided to jump on it and bash out all the windows. rain came and went and the interior was ruined. leather. then someone left the hood up and removed the lid. well water got into the intake and the motor. that ones no biggie. but what really kills me is when i went to start removing the dash and kick panels to access the wiring harness. a rat decided to make a home in there ****** chewed and ate about 50% of the wiring right at the three main connections thru the firewall. now im stuck on my wiring issue. anyone got ideas?

Painless sells a kit, but its on the expensive side. Worth a shot thought for all new wires.

yea. im just trying to set this up where i can retain my lt1 gauges. sort of interface or adapt a ls1 harness to a lt1 interior harness. i want the car to look like a lt1 externally but. the ls1 is the only thing i can see under the hood. will never go back to the lt1 motor.

are the painless harnesses specific to the year model motor and comp thats being used? Craig was telling me on 98s the pin location on the comp wiring is a lil diff.

You should just rebuild the LT1 and get the car running Joe. The conversion probably wont be worth it by the time your done.

Why didnt you just buy a 98+ car to begin with if you wanted an LS1 so bad? I told you before and I'll say it again, the swap isnt worth the money.

Sounds like alot of trouble. Electricall problems suck the most. Do you just like the older look with an LS1?? I am with Bizzatch, I would have just started with a ls1 bodied car and gone from then on, but good luck with whatever you do.
