Sheppard AFB, TX I'm coming over from Litle Rock AR for 2 weeks for my 7-level school. I should be there Sat or Sun. this coming up weekend(16th) till the begining of Aug. I drive a 00 SS with 400hp/tq corrected and was wondering if anyone around would want to meet up sometime and show me around the area.

Another one of the Little Rock racing scene guys comes to Texas...... If you know Tim McCann there, he can give you all the info about Wichita Falls and most of the guys here. There are a couple of things going on the 23rd if you are here by then. PM me before you get here and I'll send you my phone number so you can call me when you get here and I'll give you the two dollar tour and introduce you to the gang.

Hey John, long time no see. How's the car been running? I have pretty much gotten out of the car stuff, with the exception of working up here at NX. So what's happening on the 23rd? Does everyone still meet up on the weekends for the late night racing or does everyone go to the track now?

The car is running great. Going back to the MAF kit made all the difference in the world.
Your bike looks bitchin, realy, really sharp.
Walters Oklahoma has their show and cruise night on the 23rd. It's a very short cruise but rolloing burnouts are encouraged! There is a huge f-body, GTO, and Vette show / GTG at the stockyards in Fort Worth on the 30th. Should be several hundred cars there. DFWLS1.com puts it on and their last two f-body shows have been huge. I was thinking both those events were on the 23rd but I'm old and my mind is slowly turning to ****.....at least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
People are still meeting up at Autozone on Kemp on Friday and Saturday nights but it's nowhere near as many people as before they made racing a class B offense. I haven't had a decent street race in over a year. We still go to the track but run time only. Mine was running 6.7s last time out. Since then I've installed a 9" rearend with different gearing and have put adjustable coilovers on the front of the car and bought a set of 28" tall slicks. If I can get some decent weather with a good DA I'm going to be trying to lower the ETs a bit.

John, I might try to make the Walters event on the 23rd. I have heard that they have a pretty good turnout, and I need to make it up to Walters to meet with my painter. Going to be tearing the bike down this fall and completely rebuilding it with different sheetmetal and some custom fabbing on the frame. I would like to go to the F-Body event but it would be a little odd going on my bike.
Glad to hear that the car is running good. I bet you were glad to get a 9" under that car,lol. Sucks about the street racing thing, after I finished my car I could not get a decent race. Part of the reason I sold it, it's just not as much fun at the track as we used to have a couple of summers ago.
Lee, is the dyno day you are talking about going to be at the Auto Shop, or is it down in the D/FW area? Too I could hook the bike up to it, lol. That would be a good insentive to get the nitrous system done on it.
