Default CAPTuRED AN INTRUDER in my APARTMENT!!!!

I went out to hang out on my balcony a couple minutes ago to get some cooler air since my a/c in my apt is broken, and as I was about to walk out the door, I noticed something shooting across my wall out of the corner of my eye. so I got a glass, captured the little guy, and took a couple pix. This is wihtout a doubt the coolest little critter I have ever caught in a place that I live! We sure don't have these up north!

After I took the pics I let him go in my potted palm trees, hopefully he wont get eaten by anything, as he was just a little guy! So freaking COOL!!!

I have a ton of those at my house. Everyday when I come home at 5:00am there are 2 to 7 of them on my garage doors. There are litte tiny baby ones and some that are pretty fat. They are pretty cool looking and I heard they eat bugs which is cool with me.

I would be like WTF if my a/c was out when I first moved in. You did let the management know about right? When my a/c went out I called mant. and they fixed it right away. Hopefully they will fix it for ya tomorrow.

He was doing the robot, man!!! How did you know?!

Blake: They have fixed it three times since I moved in ALREADY! It breaks every other day. I am so PISSED about it too, the last time they fixed it was friday afternoon, it had quit by friday night, couldnt get ahold of anyone all weekend. But I got in writing from the maintenance guy DF (Dan I think) that if it happens again they are replacing the entire unit. So tomorrow morning @ 10am when they open I will be on the phone and getting a new unit put in IMMEDIATELY. My mother is coming down here from PA tomorrow for a little vacation, so to speak, from things up North, and I am not about to subject her to a week of 90+ interior degrees. I can deal with it, but this is ridiculous. I may as well live outside and save the rent money.

They WILL fix it tomorrow, permanently. Something tells me they don't want to be in breach of contract.

Last year I counted 17 of those little guys on my back porch walls & windows. And that was just the back of the house, not the ones that live around the garage or the front. They come out at dusk.

I bought my son (6 y/o) a reptile cage this year, and we'll catch one or two and keep 'em for a bit. We fatten 'em up with store bought crickets, and then let 'em go after a while. We'll go out on the back porch and I'll ask "which one do ya want?". Sure beats paying $6 for a gecko at Petco.

You know you're a Texan when... You go out on your front porch and see how many geckos are scurrying across the walls My wife and I counted close to 30 one night just before we went to bed. The brick on my house is almost the same color as those little guys so it made for a fun seek and find game.

One of my cats apparently mistook a small gecko for some chewing gum recently. The resultant wad of...goo...was most unpleasant.

i don't have those around my house, but they're all over the place at work. i kinda wish there were some around the house, tho....i have spiders like crazy here that need to be taken care of.

don't get me wrong, i'm not scared of spiders, but that doesn't mean i want them crawling all over my house.....
