Default question concerning 26 vs 28 inch tires??

my Nissan has a t350 tranny and i have 3.91 gear which let me top out at around 128mph at 7000rpm (tested this on the dyno) on 26 inch tires..

I know I will trap alot higher than that, so will 28 inch tires help me that much?? And will i lose some low end power if i do that?? im researching for some 3.73 gears, but this has to be some custom work..

thanks in advance for any help...

28"W for sure I think the expanded diameter is like @ 32" so yeah you will pick up quite a bit and as far as your low end I don't think it is going to kill you at all, but you are gearing up so you could loose. You will just have to test it to know for sure, but I suspect with the brake that you won't loose anything.

the bigger tire will allow you to trap higher... but as jeff said, testing is the only way to go!

thanks..i dont really want to go with custom gearings if the 28" tires will give me enough to trap around 140...i guess ill order some tires this weekend..
