Default Anyone w/ a H/C LT1 dyno @ HPE?

Just checking to see what kind of numbers you put down.

The guy that bought my old car went there to dyno today and put down much lower numbers than I got out of it from the last time I had dynoed it.

The numbers I got on the dyno I normally used were 390ish rwhp, 370ish rwtq. That was through a KTRE 12 bolt, 315 BFG G-Force TA's and w/ a 3inch steel DS.

Now it has a 3.42 geared 10 bolt, rolling on stock wheels, tires and driveshaft. It only put down 360ish rwhp/340ish rwtq. The dyno operator was expecting to see 330rwhp out of it apparently.. So I dunno if the dyno is just low in general, or if LT1's just dyno really low.. Or what.

This was supposedly on the dynojet dyno. Unfortunately the guy who bought my old car doesn't know much about them yet - so he didn't know what questions to ask pertaining to the lower than expected dyno numbers.

If it's only 360ish now... That the first 3600# F-Bod I've seen trap 117mph w/ that little rwhp on tap. LOL.

PS - This isn't a jab @ HPE or anyone by any means.. Just looking for some clarification.

If they used the dyno farthest away from the front office, then he was on the Mustang dyno.

Your old car with a 10 bolt should be making 400rwhp easy on a dynojet, you must have cammed swap it in your sleep or some thing. Some people sleep walk, saladbars swaps cams, damndest thing ever. Any case I'm sure the dyno programs for Lt1s is made to read low, just another way for the man to opress us Lt1 folk

Those are good numbers! My LT1 Camaro dynoed like 300ish at another shop with just a cam and stock heads and intake/TB. 10 Bolt with 3:42 gears, 6 speed through SLP single dual muffler.

Cool... that's what I was hoping to hear. Maybe D/FW dyno numbers are just inflated ... lmao.

I think they just use the Mustang dyno for tuning.

The last time my car was there on the dyno it put down 400rwhp on motor with 4.11 gears and a 12 bolt. It was in the high 90's outside as well. Also, I dyno'd at MTI and it was within 2rwhp of HPE.

There have been a lot of changes to the car since then. I can't wait to see what it will put down now.

The car was dynoed again today in Dallas. Put down 367rwhp, so it really is down on power... Had an A/F reading of <10:1 ... So that isn't helping matters either.

Gonna have to tune it on the dyno for him when I get time.... Ah well.. Sucks being a nice guy. lmao
