Houston CAD guys...structural
READ THE WHOLE THING, then PM me.....
The company I work for (we manufacture cranes for offshore use) is looking for 1 (one) drafter type with some structural/mechanical experience. Electrical and hydraulics knowledge would also be helpful but isn't required.
This is a direct position (though the interviews are set up by a staffing agency). I repeat: THE INTERVIEWS ARE SET UP BY A STAFFING AGENCY. PM me and I'll get you the info for the staffing agency.
I am a drafter/designer - it is NOT up to me who gets an interview or who gets hired or how much they make.
THERE IS A DRUG TEST and a physical. They do NOT test for nitrous, as far as I know.
They do test for alcohol
Firebird/GTO/Corvette people are ok, but another Camaro person would be better

NOTE: If you have more than 5 years experience or if you want lots of money, they probably won't hire you. It is a salary position (which is kind of strange for a drafter position) and there will likely be SOME overtime. Not much. Trust me. It's about 99% no weekend work. (I went in one Saturday for a few hours because I needed to get stuff done, not because I was asked to work). Right now I'm working like 9 hour days, but it's because I would never get anything done if I didn't, not because I was asked to. (Crap. I've been with the company two months and I'm already a suck-up.)
The benefits are good. The people are good. The company is in the NW part - on FM 529 just off 290.
Another NOTE: Driving FM529 in the morning SUCKS.
And there ain't no other way to get there.
