Sounds like fun...... so my dad wants me and him to take our cars to the local 1/8th mile track and see whos car would win. he will be driving a 05 mustang GT M5 dead stock cept for a catback and i will be driving my 02 Trans Am WS6 A4 dead stock except for a electric cutout. So who do you guys think will win? my vote is that i will
TAvs"05slo5.0 I take the T/A, the track times on those new RUSTANGS don't back up the claimed 305hp. I don't believe that the new stangs really put down those #'s at the wheels, like most LS1 cars do. U beat down that lil pony

Zach your tires are crap so get them heated up real good, dont launch to hard, and feather it about a 1/4 way down the track the stomp it. Your dad will get his nittos to stick well so he is going to lauch good. It all is going to depend on how you drive, not "mustangs dont make much power so you will own him"........

im gonna try to get him to go to the 1/4 mile track instead cause i really wanna see what my car would do in the 1/4 cause i dont know 1/8th mile numbers well but with some 1/4 mile numbers i can at least compare to others and see how much i need to improve lol
You SHOULD win, unless you completely suck at launching. I don't recomend stomping the gas a 1/4 of the wqay down the track because all you're going to end up doing is shifting back down into first. Just roll into it slowly in first gear but get it all the way down before it shifts into second.
