Strictly performance in texas has consistantly turned out some of the most badass 03/4 cobras there are.
strictly is also well known for blowing motors. i know because it happend to my friend and there was a thread about strictly all over svtperformance. my friend has found no luck in houston trying to tune his car.

but if you want a cobra then get one. they are nice. and a kenne bell is alot more than 3k from what i remember researching on. good luck tho

Buy the cobra and save your money and get a Whipple or KB and you will have a 600 rwhp car for less than 30k. I boight mine and have over 600 rwhp and everything cost me 26k with a solid axle...

Thanks everyone for your help. but im looking for a red one miles not really an issue i would want a new motor anyways. but im looking for around 700+. any motor ideas??

Incase you didn't know one of the sponsors here (G-Force) does Mustangs, and has the SCT tuning on lock down.. If you are looking for some great work/advice for a Cobra I'd recomend them.. Or you could try some of the other sponsors here, not too sure how that would go though. lol

Stay away from Performance Mustang here in Houston. The owner is a jackass and his vehicles are over priced. Clean cars, but over priced.

It's fact strictly has the multiple top 03/4 cobra's when ti comes to the 1/4. I couldn't find the thread about your friend blowing the motor because of strictly though....

If you were to live in Houston, there are several forums here in Houston that will tell you diffrent. as far as 700 rwhp I think that could be accomplish easily with a built s/b and a whipple or Kenne Bell and boost.PSI here in Houston is good also and they had a 700rwhp cobra with stock block,heads,cams,and headers.

I would be careful about strickly performance. I have heard good things and bad things about them. One of my friends has seen some bad stuff they have done. I know they can do good work, I would just be there to watch everything and make sure nothing is done wrong. I have heard good things about Houston Performance. Everybody is going to have different comments about different shops.

There is no doubt they have turned some fast car, but as far as safe on the street and tunes the y are sometime a little to agressive. Just do some searches on them predetor_03 has a good one and personally dont like the guy. i myself have had my car tuned that only had a life expectancy of 2 months...

Houston Performance has really cleaned up its act here lately. I've never had a problem with Steve, I get all my parts from him, and when I got my gears installed some 5 years ago, they did them. Still going strong with no whine

Tomorrow I'm dropping off my stang at strictly performance. I'm only going there so they can replace my control arms, so I doubt they can screw that up. I can tell you this much. Strictly and houston performance have some cheap *** prices. I use to have all my work done at Slater's mustangs (slater's automotive), but they have some outragous prices now.

Take it to PSI, had my cobra was retuned there today and laid down 621 rwhp and 580rwtq on punp gas with 17# of boost and 17 degrees of timing with a a/f of 11.8 across...

snake pit: I have a black 03 Cobra; If you want the 1/4 mile; you need the 8.8 solid axle.y Cobra's need to go on a diet. 3690 lbs. stock.So if you want to go fast you need to loose the fat.
By the way Strictly has some fast Cobra's and up until last years World Ford CHallenge they held the records. Now it is an Orange Cobra out of Triangle Speed in Orange, TX.
You've got lots of choices; KB, Whipple,heads, cams, nitrous??? Daily driver; weekend warrior; or 1/4 mile bandit. You need to decide and put your program together from their. Pro-Charger.
One thing you got to watch is the tight Piston/ring clearances on stock CObra's. To much heat; boost; juice; lean; and they will go pop! Ask Strictly they know!

Snake Pit; You might try an Anderson PMS; piggy back tuner; use a Mustang Dyno to get a good tune; You can program up to three tunes at ; and select the one you want; they have two step;fuel and timing re-calibration @ every 500 rpm. Wot, Idle, part throttle tables; Great tuner for combination driver; and racer on the track. I know a great head porter; my Cobra heads flow more than Fox Lake and Total Engine Airflow.
If you stay with the stock Eaton SuperCharger you can port it and do the small pulley on top and the big on bottom; add the Snow Boost Cooler so you can run pump gas on the street with a race tune;or get the large Lightning Performance Resevoir and when you race load it down with ice to cool the charge. Lots more can be done,but if your serious you can get the help. It just takes time and money1.
