Default The dyno results are in.

Ive been buying, selling, horse trading, demoding and collecting used parts for 9 months so I could get the TA together. With heavy SS wheels, through a 12 bolt with a 3800 converter and my home made over the axle true duals it made exactly 400 to the tires on the Speedtek dyno this morning. Right now it has a mailorder tune and was real lean. I think will even pick up a little more with a good tune and adding some fuel to it. Not the best numbers ever but I am pretty happy with the little motor.

Thumbs up

Nice numbers! Conrats!!!

...and I understand the drivetrain loss, but what mods are we talking about here? And yes, screw the mailorder tune, better if you can get it wide band dyno tuned.
Is the Speedtek dyno a "Dynojet" or a "Mustang Dyno?"

Peace,
Craig.

Thanks man...Its a 300 mile fresh stock shortblock with an outdated MMT M2 cam and ported stock heads ls6 intake and the usual bolt ons. Thats on a Dynojet.
I did the mailorder tune just so I could get the new motor started and broken in before taking it to anyone.

I think I may have more than just a lean tune. I think I may be running out of fuel with the stock pump and 28lb injectors. Last night was the first time I got on it hard on the street. Just as it shifted to 2nd it just quit pulling let off a little and came back to life.

I'm headed to the hardware store now to make an extention so I can watch my fuel pressuse gauge while driving.

I know that the m2 might have been ground a while ago but it's still nothing to sneeze at.Sean and them have always been on the bigger end of things and the m2 is still a pretty decent size cam.Who ported the heads, trevor?

Not saying that its a bad cam just not sure its its exactly what I would have picked out had I bought all new parts. It has a set of heads that Trevor did a while back.

Converter is a Vigalante 3800. I wanted a Yank but this is what I found for sale at the time.
