I can't seem to get this silly game out of my mind. Just one more quest! Just one more! I think I've averaged only 4-5 hours of sleep a night for the past 3 weeks. I'm too old for this ****!

I rented it but never played it. It's not my type of game, but for people that do like this game, I hear its like 300 hours of game time, compared to the normal 40-60 hours. The graphics are really good, I watched my friend play it for a little bit.

I am, I have almost completed every quest in the game, in the leader of all 4 guilds, main quest complete, arena complete, just mopping up the rest of the side quests right now.

Yeah, this is not a game you can just rent because there's too much to do and it's not for everyone. The main storyline could take 40 hours or more to complete because you have to get to a certain level to tackle some of the quests, and then there are numerous side quests and 4 additional complete storylines in the guild quests. I already completed the main quest, the Arena, and the Thieves Guild storyline and am almost through the Fighter's Guild storyline. Next, I'll tackle the Mages Guild and then I'll try the Dark Brotherhood quests (which is dark because you play an assassin, but I hear it actually has a pretty good storyline). I have to do that one last because killing can get you kicked out of the Fighter's Guild if you do jail time. That's where the thieves guild comes in handy because you can get out of it for half the bounty.

Okay, now I don't feel so bad because you have apparently put more time into it than I have. How many hours of gameplay so far? Xbox360 or PC?

I tried to play the last one, Morrowind, but it had crappy graphics and the fun factor just wasnt there cause everything was the same after about 3hrs...blah
But Oblivion is one of the best games I've ever played, they put a ton more thought into this one, I'm really hooked on the graphics(turned up all the way), even the detail put into the damn jumpin rats is awesome.

PC btw

Nothing better to do while waiting on LME/GForce, just a level 12 Nord, beat the arena, about a 1/3rd into the quest. I get ADD riding the horse through the woods finding ****..and forget what I was supposed to do. The 360 version rocks on a 62" 1080p widescreen.

I'm also running on PC with several LOD (level of detail) mods and a complete overhaul (Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul). I even bought the armor add-on because it just looks cool. I'm running a Crossfire ATI setup so I can run Anti-Aliasing with High Dynamic Range, and it looks amazing. Yes, by far one of the best games I've ever played (except the minor annoying bugs). Morrowind was just as addictive for awhile until I got to a high enough level where I could take down anyone and anything with a single swipe of a sword. That takes all the fun out of it. I'm a level 18 Imperial Warrior in Oblivion, and I still get significantly challenged.

I think I cheated in the final Arena battle. I summoned a Daedroth who did most of my work for me.

Yeah well I cheated too because I won't have much time to play the game once I start school. I killed Dorian and pickpocketed $782,000.00, I buy whatever I want, whenever I want but whats cool is that it really doesn't affect the game much, I can only train up to my level anyway...although guess I'm loaded and can afford it...hence cheating..

Last week I rode my horse to the tallest mountain and jumped, pretty damn cool ragdoll effects on our deathride down the mountain.

LOL! Too funny.

I had a bad day the other day, did a hard save, and then went on a killing spree. Nothing was spared (at least those who didn't get away - they didn't run in Morrowind, but some of these buggers are pretty quick in Oblivion!). The guards finally took me down, but not before I took about 8 of them with me. I felt better.

facking guards kick my *** all the time...like you I save first and start hacking old school Dungeon & dragons style....keeps it all a little interesting sometimes.

what's funny is in the Temple City when the music goes funky ...and people start running around, arrows a flyin....so I usually help the guard and kill the bad guys...then take their house key and go loot their house...or do their maids...

pc version; and the only thing ive cheated on was the vampire cure quest cause its glitched to hell to the point you cant continue it without cheating or till a patch comes out. 66 hours in, lvl 53 warrior with maxxed out stats on everything. Im to the point where if something, ANYTHING, doesnt die in the first hit, or first spell strike, Im in awe lol

a cool hint for you guys is to master the theives guild quest before you do the dark brotherhood quests, my reasoning is that when you finish the thieves guild quest, you get a mask that has a seperate personality than you; what im saying is put the mask on, kill a guard, get a bounty, take mask off and bounty is instantly gone. All bounty or crimes become associated with the "mask character" and not your character that you might try hard to keep out of jail.

I friggin love this game.

I haven't played in a couple weeks though. I had to noclip on one of the quests because it was f'ed up, and I haven't really played since. I should have never done that!!!

I think I'm going to save the whole Vampire thing for last.

Hey how do you complete the last Thieves guild quest?
I am doing something wrong I guess.... the Monks always realize it's me.
