UFC 60 5/27 Hughes vs Gracie
Who do you think will win? Would love to get tickets for this one but I'll be @Kenned Space Center for an audit end of the month, Hughes vs Gracie, this should be a good fight!
I'm banking on Gracie, but think Hughes will give him a good bout.

man, i can't wait for this. I'm gonna be in louisiana for some Shell training for the internship. The only thing i'm worried about is that i won't be able to get it since Shell is paying for the Hotel, but i'll see what i can do.

i actually think gracie might get it.. he's taken beatings from Dan Severn and Shamrock and any other big heavyweight they could throw at him.. time and time again he'd take a beating and do the monkey attack @ the end.
I do think Hughes is the much better athlete.. gracie is just durable enough to take the punishment till he gets a submission.

For you guys to think Gracie has a shot, you obviously know nothing about UFC TODAY!!!
When Gracie fought in the UFC 12 years ago no one knew BJJ. Remember Hughes is a Submission specialist also. And Gracie is not allowed to use a GI, Hughes will know how to counter anything Gracie throws at him, not to mention he out powers him by a long shot. This fight is gonna be a joke, I see the Gracie family throwing in the towel

I agree with you on Matt's power, but then again Ken Shamrock also outpowered Gracie and still lost to submission, that being said Matt's awesome at submissions too, be a good fight. I doubt the towel will be thrown in but that comment does make for good humor

Mmiller- Since his last fight Royce has had less of a lay off then Matt. Matt last fought at UFC 56 (11/19/05) and Royce’s last fight was K-1 Dynamite (12/31/05). Over the course of these past few years Royce hasn’t remained as active as Matt but he’s still been going through his regular training regiment. He’ll just increase his training for this fight to make sure that he comes in the best shape possible.
Krazy98Z28- Don’t think that Matt’s Jiu Jitsu skills are on the same level as Royce’s. To get the fight on to the ground and once it’s there Matt heavily relies on his wrestling abilities. He uses them to put himself into a favorable position where he’s either able to pound the fight out or take a shot at a submission. The draw back to this is that unlike Royce, Matt is extremely uncomfortable when working from his back. Also don’t be naive enough to think that Matt will be able to counter anything that Royce throws at him. I promise you that Matt has not seen 1/1000th of the various options that Royce could use to possibly submit him.
Personally I’d like to see Royce win the fight but I can’t help but think that Matt’s going to win it VIA ground and pound.

Remember Shamrock knew nothing about BJJ when he fought Gracie.
Matt Hughes trains in BJJ and has been for years. Imagine Shamrock having at least a black belt in BJJ when he fought Gracie, who would of won the fight back then???
And again I think Hughes is gonna ground and pound him so bad that his corner will throw the towel in.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Royce, in fact I got his autograph 2 years ago when he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. I just think he's a has been of the UFC just like Shamrock is ,and Matt is an overall better MMA fighter and thats what wins fights in UFC
