Always a risk when you have cars at this level, but at the end its just a car, the person driving it is more important. I hope Steven is ok, any help they need I would be glad to do what ever I can

what i heard from him over the phone was that he was at a track in shreport and it was the first round of an 1/8 mile race he out treed the guy he was racing BAD!! and when he came down off the wheelie bars the car started to pull to the center line. he didnt want to cross over the line b/c he didnt want to get d.q.'d and he didnt know if the guy would rear end him. so he steered left and when he did the backend got out of the groove and went right then the car went an strait for the wall but before it hit he pulled the shoot to help slow him down and straiten the car which help insted of a head on impact. he hit on the left front corner taking out the turbo, radiator, headers, all that. the whole left side if the car smacked the wall. but all in all he is ok. all the safety gear did its job and he walked away with just a sore back.

Steven,

Glad to hear you are alright. I agree cars can be replaced or fixed but lives are so precious. That is what scares me about Joe racing. We went with a 10 point just because of this exact thing. Good luck and get the beast fixed.

another testiment of exactly why we all need to do as much in the way of safety as we can, especially the guys that race a lot. good luck with whatever you do in the future Steven, i'm sure it will fly. sounds like a very savy driver to get the chutes out to get everything calmed down.
