I'm sure you will find the search feature handy here, and it is free. Also, look at the Super-FAQ thread at the top of the new owner's forum. FILLED with info. https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-owners-newbie-tech/213148-jrp-s-faq-commonly-asked-questions.html

Dude are you serious? Use the search button for any questions you have, and I promise you the answers are on this site not GMHT.

Buy the service manual. That or "How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s" by Will Handzel. I have had it for a while now and its great! Another LS1 book came out and its pretty good too. I have this and "Maximum Boost: Designing, Testing, and Installing Turbochargers", .

I have several, though honestly, I'd start by reading JRP's FAQ (newbie section) and playing around with the search button. Way more information here than Hightech.

I would be interested in buying pre-2000 GMHTP, even pre-1998.

Just to reiterate why he isn't interested in using the search function. Hard to search the FAQ from the crapper!

Might as well pick up Muscle Mustangs as well. Realistically though there is a lot more in depth tech knowledge in National Dragster, Fastest Street Car and the NMRA papers. The Automotive Performance Gazette is good sometimes for info as well.

I have a **** ton I bought from somebody for $40 a while back. The collection consists of most of the issues, all pretty much mint and in order. Let me dig them up and I I'll verify which ones I have.
