Drag Boat Races, Marine Creek Lake, Lake Worth...tomorrow...anyone?
I know i'll be out there part of the day, and a few friends off the site here will be there. anyone else in the area thinking about going?

Lol, just noticed your sig. I thought about going but I've got my kids and I don't think they could hang for that long.

man, there is a LOT of shade under the trees on the south end of the lake (starting line) bring the young ones out Mark, its a GREAT experience. boats are my real passion. btw, which part of my sig you LOLing at?

tryin to be....lol. I'll ask them if they would like to go. I know the youngest one would, he was under the car with me while I was taking the tranny out and wanted to know exactly what I was doing step by step, got me a wrench monkey but I'm going to have to buy a kid sized creeper, lol.

I went back in '03, I have a couple of buddies that race in the SDBA. Wish I could have made it to this years race. The boats that race in the top class, I can't remember the name of it, are stupid fast. 6 second 1/4 mile times. The "Aquaholic" made my jaw drop the ground shook when he went by at like 250mph.

top fuel hydroplane is the top class, basically a top fuel car motor bolted to a boat with a lenco transmission. pretty retarted fast. my favorites are the Allison RiverRat v-bottoms with outboards. nothing like the sound of a 15krpm Mercury screaming by at 120+mph. hopefully next year me and my uncle will have something to show those boys in the SDBA "River Racer" class.

I'm hoping to have mine back running this year, maybe race it next year if everything works out and I build up a TT BBC for it. I just need to find a running 460 to get it back in the water this year
