I think Everitt is almost ideal for the 2 spot. Basically, by sticking him there, you're taking the bat out of his hands. Make him bunt, thats one thing he can do.

How many times in the past 10 games has he come up to bat with runners on base? Its been quite a few, and I'd much rather have Biggio at the plate when it counts.

This isn't little leauge baseball you don't put people in your number 2 position to bunt 1 in every 30 bats and the other 29 leave ***** at first so berkman can hit into the dp Sorry dude thats just not how the pro's work

your thinking to hard. your two batter is going to come to the plate more times than everyone behind him obviously, so you want your top guys up top. he is no 2 hitter

Yeah... I was at the game last night. It was frustrating to say the least. Our group left after the 11th when we had bases loaded with no outs and couldn't get a man home. I was disgusted to say the least.

When lidge threw the 96mph fb right down the middle on an 0-2 count in the 9th EVERYONE was screaming at him. He was boo'd off the field soon after... They should really stop flashign "lights out lidge" on the scoreboards.

OK, you guys say it doesnt work like that, but honestly, it hasnt worked yet.

A couple years back when Biggio was leading off and Everett was in the 2 hole it was working. Everett got hit late in the year and broke his wrist, but he was striving in the 2 hole.

the lights are def out for lidge........and maybe garner for that matter. the disastros have fully wasted a chance to go to the post season in a year when the national league sucks *** and have possibly the best right handed pitcher of all time taking the bump every fifth start. all we needed was to limp our way into the playoffs and we would have a chance. look at what we did last year.

this is the beginning of the end for the astros as we know them. unless ownership changes it's current path of player evaluation...we will turn into the orioles....an overpayed team that can't win.

As bad as it is right now, the Astros are only 4.5 games out of the wildcard spot with 40 games left. Cake guys....They are certainly capable, its just frustrating right now...I still have faith.

I don't know where you're getting your stats from, but he is batting over .300 in August and has a decent OPS of .942 ...and he has a lot more power than a majority of our lineup.

Maybe morons like this thought we were signing a Pujols when we signed Huff and are looking for that kind of production?

What have you got to lose?

And you honestly think that they cant score any more runs with Lamb, who is batting in the .300 range as opposed to Ensberg who is hovering around .240?

And Look at what Scott has done. Maybe I'm being too optimistic but lets face it, the NL is weak this year and we're only 4.5 out.
