"Super Corvette"
"Super Corvette" read in Vette magazine that therre are rumers of a "Super Corvette" under consideration by GM. The mag said that the most recent rumer is that the new vette will be coined as the "Sting Ray" If given the green light the new vette could hit dealer showrooms in verry limited numbers before the 2007 model year is over.
"Packing a supercharged 427ci v-8, dubbed as the LS9, and extensive carbon fiber, the car would produce a minimum of 600 hp and weigh just 2,900. The LS9 would place the blower compressor down in the lifter valley, with the blower drive snout just ahead of the frontmounted throttle body. Air would flow upward to an air-to-water intercooler and then back into the intake ports, an arrangement somewhat akin to the one used on Cadillacs supercharged Northstar engines. Production would be limited to 500 untits and could cost $100,000"

Exactly, I have heard the "Blue Devil" has been in the makes for over a year or so. I think they actually named it something, not sure if it is the "Sting Ray" but its going to be a sweet car!

they are claiming 650 hp on this car due to the fact that they want to compeet with the viper witch will be putting out 650 but they have also had rummors of it being set at 675hp and they would also use a 6.2l not the 7.0l witch is currently being used in the c6Z.. Just stuff i have heard around the block.. But i have heard also that it would cost less than 100k mark maybe in the up 80's to low 90's but will deffanantly by one of the best bang for your buck... But wont have near the quality interior as the higher priced ferrari's or porches anywho just my .02

Not really. The C6 Z06 owners can add long-tube headers, cam and tuning and they'll make 600+ hp, for about $3,000.
