man there is gonna be ALOT of 11-1 teams. Michigan/OSU, Texas, One SEC team, WVU, Rutgers, Lousville, USC and they will all be crying about the title game. This may be the last year of the BCS.

Rutgers took care of Louisville. I doubt that Rutgers will get the bid even IF they go undefeated.

Kinda helps that he used to COACH Florida as well.....Ive seen that play a role many times....and South Carolina actually has a pretty good team this year.

Florida is really not that good of a team and I don't think they will win the SEC championship game. Michigan will play Louisville in a bowl, Florida will face USC which if they play there cards right and kick @ss they will be in the mix as well. But USC has to beat the greatest football program to ever play the game The University of Notre Dame. Should be interesting to see how it all pans out, you never know UT may trip up against the Fightin' Texas Aggies and then they will have Mack Brown on suicide watch.
The greatest football program is Michigan.

Who wants to see a Michigan/OSU rematch in the NC game if Michigan loses to OSU? Me! Along with plenty of other people.

For the sake of argument, let's say Michigan does lose to OSU. Let's assume UF trips up, AU trips up, and the only 1 loss teams left are Michigan, UT, and either USC or ND. USC and ND would be out, so it'd be left to Michigan and UT. Who deserves to go? They both lost to the #1 team in the nation, UT at home, Michigan on the road. Tough call.

If Michigan does beat OSU, where does that put OSU? They wouldn't fall below UT because they beat them. We'd possibly be looking at a Michigan/OSU rematch again in that scenario.

Playoff anyone?

The BCS is such a poor way to end a college football season. The bowl set up just doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Teams have to be perfect to play in the national championship and when a team like Rutgers, who hasnt lost (but will) wouldnt make it to the NC even if they won out. There needs to be like an 8 team playoff at neutral sites or give the higher ranked team the home field advantage.

I agree. There was a cool article on Yahoo yesterday about that 8 team playoff. While not perfect, he was pretty close.

He has some really good ideas. The main thing I'd change is keeping the BCS Championship Bowl seperate from the other 4 major BCS bowls like it is this year. Then lose one of the other minor bowls out of the mix. Some of those matchups would be incredible!

I realize it's improbable, but Michigan would deserve it just as much, if not more than UT.

What if Michigan wins? What happens to OSU? They have a big enough lead in the BCS that if the game was close, they might not slip below UT, since they beat them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What's that? Big 10 vs. Big 12 NC won't happen? Bwahaha! Well, I no longer have to worry about UT's chances of getting in over Michigan should Michigan lose next week. Bye bye UT!
