Default Fiberglass particles on skin

Was taking off a peace of fiberglass/cloth heat wrap off my EGR, stuff as pretty old so a lot of the fibers started coming off and got on my skin. I cant really see it since their such fine particles but can definatley feel them on my arms. Any way to get them off?

Get an old piece of detailing clay and roll it around on your hands and arms. It will help pull the fiberglass out. Just make sure you throw it away when you're done, as fiberglass will scratch your car.

Actually you want to take a cold shower. Closes the pores and pushes unwanted fiberglass out easier. My dad taught me that trick. It does work. Don't use hot water!

dude, that sucks.

I got fiberglass all over my hands/arms when I replaced my drivers side power window motor, I know exactly how you feel! I had to drill the holes to get to the rivets, it sucked!

I got the majority of it out, but it took a couple of days of really irritated (between my fingers as well!) skin...it does eventually come out tho.

I used to work in ac and heating maintenance a couple of years ago. It was a daily thing to deal with fiberglass in the skin, it sucked pretty badly. The cold shower statement is true and then get some masking or packing tape. I never used duct tape because I didn't feel like pulling out all my arm hairs.

Or you can just take Brains advice

You know if my eyes could catch STDs, I'm sure they would have by now. STD are really just sex trophies, so is a kid, so I guess if you got both you really dominated. Moral is, being a winner isnt always good.

I spent several years installing fiberglass piping.. we found the best way is to wipe down your arms with a soft rag soaked in acetone, then take a cold shower.

opps. it's been a long time since I've messed with fiberglass. I guess it's been longer than I thought. Go with the cold shower. I knew it was either hot or cold. My help seams to be as good as my march madness picks.
