Got pulled over...

...for no front plate. This is the 3rd time this happens to me, 2nd time for this car. The cop was real cool though, he told me that they pull people over all the time but they never write it, and to just get a plate on. The girl cop was kinda mean :( . But ne ways im wondering, do they keep track of how many times youve been pulled over for the same violation? I mean if i get pulled over a month form now, will they see, o this guy was warned already, ima write him a ticket! Just wondering if i should just giving in and put the damn thing on :eyes:

As far as I know there is no way to track it unless they write you a ticket. Even if they were to write you a ticket for it when they call in your license it will just come back as an entry, not a specific violation. I wouldn't worry about it unless you really don't want to chance getting a ticket one day. I refuse to put one on my car.

every time you get pull over just act like you didn't know about having front plates

Some agencies track traff stops and violations. However, agencies do not have access to each others database....

Yep, THOSE systems aren't linked.

The only systems that are linked together are warrants.

Ok cool, in Jan 06 i was pulled over for my inspection being expired and the cop wrote me for no plate and "loud exhaust" but i just payed 25 for the expired inspection and the other two were dismissed. hopefully the same cops that pulled me over for the plate dont pull me over again!

I put my plate on my lower air dam. Knock on wood cops havent messed with me since. When i did get a ticket for no front plate (car didnt have one when i bought it) it got dimissed in court. I just told them that I had put it on.

The good thing is that they are a non moving violation.

ive only been pulled over once...by a trooper...i just told him that my plate got stolen along with my grille......got a warning. that was 7 months ago....

onebadblackz 03-24-2007 01:25 AM

this is getting bad here a lot of my friends have been pulled over for this but I haven't been pulled over yet...

As much as I hate how it looks, I still have my front plate on. With a brother who's a sheriff's deputy, I'd never hear the end of it if I got a ticket for that.

I got pulled over for it TONS of times, then finally I got a ticket for it, so I broke down and put one on the car. I hate it, but it just gives the cops one less thing to pull me over for. Last night I got pulled over because I "swerved" when getting on the highway.... :ripped:

Im from TX but Im stationed in TN and when I drove back home to TX for leave in the two weeks I was there I was pulled over 5 times for not having a front license plate. Three of the cops tried to give me a ticket for no inspection/tags but in TN they dont have them. You also only get one plate so you literally cant put it on.
