Computer didn't startup again.
 

It did this last week. It just stayed on the Windows XP startup screen. Fortunately, when I did a hard reset, it gave me the option to Run using last known configuration/settings that worked. What's wrong?

MAybe just a hiccup?

Try going back to another system restore point.

Download and run AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy.

Then defragment the hard drive (if you have the classic start menu, its under Start, Acessories, System tools).

Then do Windows Update (Don't download Service Pack 2 unless you understand it well!!!)

This may take half a day, but it's as good a place to start as any :)

Well, in essence, that's what it did to startup. Unless it automatically saves points for system restore, I can't do that since I haven't done it myself.

I have AdAware, SP2, etc. Ah, crap. I know what I have to do.

might try and run windows repair.
