Got a ticket need help
Got a ticket need help I got popped for going 51 in a 40 but my speedo only showed 42-43mph. When he asked me how fast I was going I said maybe 45 and he said no 51, I was like wtf. After he wrote it and came back to me I asked him if he was sure it was 51 and he said ''do you want me to write a higher number''. Is there anything I can do?

When you get responses I wish we can karate shop 'em in the throat. I would think that at the time they should of gave you some kind of proof. Not to sure if you could actually see the radar though?
im pretty sure you can ask to see the radar, printout or whatever, for proof that he clocked you at the speed that he is writing you the ticket for. i have never done this myself, but i think i have heard it before.
I thought that if you asked to see proof of your speed they were suppose to show you. I may be wrong though.
I have a feeling we will be seeing more and more of this. Hell we already are. With today judicial system, a cop or official can come up with anything to get ya. Unless you have a camera or some kind of proof, there isnt anything you can do except get a lawyer to help ya out. Good Luck man.

You should take the car to a shop and get the speedo checked. Most of the time I have heard of tickets being dropped if the speedo calibration was off and you sincerely thought you were not speeding due to a faulty speedo. Hope that helps.

51 in a 40 is nothing to cry about. Even if you were doing 42-43, that's still speeding... i got a ticket for 45 in a 40 once. It blows, but there's not much you can do about it.

i got a 70 in a 55 and asked to see the radar and he looked at me like a was a tard i was like WTF. then i went into cort and talked to the judge droped it to faulty equipment. cause there was no proff that i was speeding. and i knew that cause my radar detector never went off. hahaha the funny thing is i was doin like 75. lol lol lol ****** pig!
Go get your speedo checked. Air your tires up to max pressure when you do this. If your speedo is off less than 11 mph they will prob still stick you with something because they will say you were still speeding.
