I'm torn - i love the looks of both. It's a toss up between a black 07 600RR:

Or a, no longer in production, raven R6

I'll get a warranty on the RR, plus I'm digging the undertail...raven = no undertail; plus I'm familiar with hondas as I currently ride an F4i.

I ride a 600RR and have rode a R6 as well.....handling the RR will whoop the R6 hands down.....Performance wise the R6 has the RR by a little bit but petty much all of the newer bikes are almost the same as far as performance, but handling the RR takes the cake no doubt.....The R6 is pretty much the middle ground bike it does well in all aspects....The Raven is nothing but all blacked out R6 and no extra performance....you ride red already so you know the choice is made plus ++1 on the warranty.

Do some research and make your decision....its going to be your bike so get what you want!!

My RR redlines around 16k as well most 600's do. It doesnt matter anyway there not making any power that high anyway. It is just so you can over rev if you hit a corner to slow so you dont have to shift while in the turn.

You can take the silver part off in like 5 minutes and spend like $50 to have it paint matched then you will have your all black RR!.....sickness

ok who cares about looks. Looks get you so far on a bike. Go with performance. The R6 is a mmmuuuuuccccchhhhhhhhh better bike. Get the bike that will have the best performance plus the best overall resale when you decide to get something bigger after you get tired of a 600. Get the R6.

I said the R6, but have you looked gixxer?

or.....

Underseat exhaust is overrated. Just ads more pipe which = more expensive exhaust.

Sorry, just always been partial to the GSX-R's.....

I also have riding experience with both bikes....but I total diagree with the statement that the RR whoops the R6 on handling (expectially if both bikes are just of the showroom floor stock). If anything it would be the other way around with the R6 being on top, IMO. Now for performance it is a hard choice for which one is on top, but for top speed and straight line racing the RR would take the top spot, IMO. As for an all round bike R6 is the best....IMO.

Also, just to state both bike are really good, but just in different ways.

But I vote for the Yamaha R6

Good luck on your choice.....
