Are there AK-47s or SKS' at the Real Gun Show?

Default Are there AK-47s or SKS' at the Real Gun Show?

i've never been to that exact gun show, but every one i have gone to has had AK clones and SKS's. if i was you, i'd check the forums on AR15.com's texas section.

I don't know why they wouldn't have the two cheapest and most common rifles in the history of the universe at it. I've seen dozens of AKs and variants at local pawn shops as well, might be another option.

What manufacture SKS are you looking for? I've got a Russian version made in 1952 at the Tula arsenal and a chinese made version. The AK's and SKS's were made in every communist country in the world and some non-communist countries as well.

it doesn't really matter to me, my uncle told me something about the chinese ones but i don't remember what he was saying

are any countries better than any other?

i have a romanian, and it hasnt had a single problem. i hear chinese are shitty.

ill make you a good deal on mine with accessories and a case of ammo. i need it gone to pay to fix my tranny.

The Yugoslavian SKS is the easiest one to find at gun shows, it's also the cheapest and one of the better built versions. I've seen them new in the crate for $100 many times, usually on Sunday

I have a chinese mak-90 and I never had a problem with it.I think all AK's are pretty much the same.

The early Russian versions are probably the best, the receivers were milled steele not stamped as were most of them that were manufactured in the communist satelite countries. Alot of firing ranges won't let you fire FMJ anymore, most of the cheap surplus 7.62 X 39 that was on the markey was FMJ.
