A sign we're getting old...

I was helping a buddy put together his freshly built TT 302 tonight. While torquing the nuts down on the head studs, I freaking threw my back out on the 9th bolt at 80 ft/lbs of torque. I just went to the chiropractor this afternoon as well. I hate my life!!

I am currently praying for death...

Vicadin and Alcohol - the perfect recipe that cures any pain

Big Tap Jun 27, 2007 11:08 AM

Yeah, it's pretty much the most intense pain I've had. It literally put me on my back for about 3 days. Vicotin and muscle relaxers help. Ice did wonders for me in the short term to help me get through the day.

Looks like you'll have to sell the car now..............

Or just drive it off a cliff.... POS STS setup and all.... :judge:

That's possible Nick. I can't exactly crawl under the car right now to blow dry my hair so it's practically worthless ;).

Only time he gets thrown back in the seat is when you ram him from behind with your 6,000 stall and 350shot of NAWS!

Man I did the same thing today, climbed up on a patio chair to clean out my patio gutters that were of no use this morning while it was raining like hell.... and you know the rest.

Short old guy, short chair, wooden stick, clogged gutters and raining like hell = one tweaked back. great. 4 Extra Strength Tylenols got me moving again, but it's gonna be a long day.

Any spare vicodins out there?

Back pain does suck. I once pinched a nerve in my back picking up a kite, a fu#%ing kite! I lift weights and everything and never once hurt my back and of all things a kite did me in. All I did was bend over to pick it up and BAM my back instantly hurts. I ended up going home and trying to stretch it out because my dad had back surgery one time and his physical therapist showed him lots of stretches. Turns out they didn't work for a pinched nerve. I layed on the floor for like 3 hours because it just hurt to move, finally I went to the hospital and they gave me 2 shots in the butt, and prescriptions for darvocet, flexeril, and ibuprofen. That was the worst pain I've ever felt and I've broke my wrist, ankle, and countless other injuries.

BTW I was only 20 when I did this.

Man that sucks. Throwing out your back is one of those things where you can throw it out with just bending over the wrong way & BAM. PAIN, take asprin bro. or even Aleve is really good.

Getting old? My back has been doing that since, ooooo, 2000 from carrying a 60+ pound rucksack. Im 29 and I can barely do anything that resembles physical activity because of my back/hips/knees/ankles

I was 26 at the time and threw my back out putting on my socks.

I get paid from the VA for my back though.
