Question about a ticket I got a ticket a couple weeks ago because my insurnace was expired and my registration was expired by a few days. So I got a letter in the mail from the municipal court and returned it pleading no contest. Now I received a letter saying I have to appear at the court in person before the Municipal Court Judge to resolve my citations. Everyone I know that got a ticket was able to just pay up and be done but I called them and the lady said I Have to appear before the judge. Anyone know why I would have to appear rather than just mailing me a fine? Thanks 
Insurance expired. They are going to want you to prove you had valid insurance or make you get a sr-22 I think it is and pay out the *** for insurance and fees for a while. Its no joke.

If you got pulled over and were issued a citation, but you had valid insurance, all you need to do is prove it. Show them a copy and they'll dismiss it. If you couldn't find it, had an old/expired copy, etc., and couldn't show proof at the time, you will more than likey be citated. Just gotta show that you had insurance.
