You actually use your rear seats? I wont let more then 1 person get in my car. The rear seats are pointless.

Usually the seat deletes weigh just as much or more as the rear seats. Mine I had in the '01 weren't very light and I ended up just taking them out.

if you dont' use the back seats you should turn them into a custom sub box. that much space in a ported box + a good amp + subs = bleeding ears.

Good idea except I did that and my car was like a second slower in the 1/4 mile..too much weight for me

No offense, but the kits like that look like someone jsut took a piece of cardboard, covered it with carpet, and put it in the holes where the seats used to be. And you still have the back seatbelts? That doesn't look too terrible good to me.

I went a little above and beyond what most do, but for show purposes, this is what worked for me. Tied the amp rack together with the rear seat delete and make it appear as one piece. Everything fits up REAL snug and looks excellent. My car isn't a 1/4 mile car, so weight isn't a huge deal to me, but the MDF wasn't TOO terribly heavy.

nice CVRs.^^^^ how do they sound? i was thinking about putting a 10" in a stealth box with a JL audio 250.1 amp. or if i can get ahold of a decently priced 500.1 then i'd probably get a CVX.

They sound AWESOME. I was using two 10" Alpine Type R's and they were ok and then last summer I won 1st place in the Trans Am class as the Texas Heat Wave here in Austin and got a gift certificate to a local custom stereo place and upgraded to those. Never looked back. They sound great.

I just took the seats out and left the space empty...the seatbelts are still in so if someone needs they can sit there but they sit very low and the floor heats up very quick since my x pipe runs directly underneath the seats.

I'm the only one maybe, but I like the possibility of carrying 4 plp in my car. It's very useful sometimes!! plus, its more space if nobody's in the backseat for travels. I remember killing an integra type R with my car loaded, that was funny, but stupid too!!
I will remember that, if I ever get in a 2 seats corvette...
