Dog in need of good home (Houston)
Well guys, its sad to have to post this, but my dog, Tank, is about to need a good home. With selling the house, and moving into an apartment, theres no way I can keep him. I am not asking any money for him, nor am I just going to give him to SPCA or a shelter. I want to know where he's going, and who the people are that will be caring for him.
I've had him since he was 6 weeks old, and he's about 2.5 years right now. He's alr4eady been neutered. Tank is a mix of a few dogs, most pronounced would probably be Dalmation and I guess possibly a little Pit with his brindel patches and his front shoulder build. He has plenty of energy, and listens great. Knows all your daily commands (sit, go get your ball, kennel, outside, etc.) and is completly housetrained. He got along great with Baxter, my wife's kitten, and loves the attention from new guests. Tank is a great house watcher, and will let you know when people come around, besides knocking on the front door, he never makes a peep unless he needs to go outside for the bathroom, then he'll whine at you.
We're currently in NW Houston / Cypress. I'm availible in the evenings to invite you over to visit and meet him. I'll have pictures up this evening when I get to the house.
Thanks guys!

P.S., There's plenty of people on here that will vouche for myself, and Tank, if needed.

That sucks Kevin sorry to hear about you having to get rid of your dog. I also know how expensive it can be to keep one at an apartment. Well good luck and give me a call sometime.

Oh, Kev I am really sorry to hear that you have to get rid of Tank. I can vouch for the dog. He's probably one of the coolest dogs I have ever seen. He loves stairs and a laser pointer! Very friendly dog...

LOL. His best friend is the laser. lol.
Yeah, this will be the 2nd toughest thing I've had to do, but its not fair for tank to live the life that I'm about to embark on.

LOL ya I own a horse also, Great Dane. Woo is she getting big, I would say she is in the 130-140lbs range just hitting a year old. But I do live in a home, but the back yard is small almost non-existant.

The only reason I won't take him to my apt. is I'm probably going back to the oilfield, and I'm out 21 days at a time. I can't leave him in a boarding kennel for 21 days, I wont do that to him.

I'll vouch for him too. Very cool pup for sure, responds great to new people and has just the right amount of energy. I hate to see him go Kevin, but I understand why you're doing it.

Hey KT,
If you have not recieved any REAL offers to take him, i am in need of a dog for my wife to keep at the house while im working. The description of Tank sounds like what we would need.
Where are you located sir? What side? We are in Baytown.
I will call my wife in the morning and let her know about him, but i am pretty sure its cool, because she has been hinting at wanting a dog just in case..... Please let me know bro.

Just curious if you still have him. I have a little dog (4lb yorkie-pekinese mix) and a 16 year old son who really wants a bigger dog. I have a house with an ok size backyard. I really don't want to go the puppy route to get him a dog. My x-fiance and I got a puppy that my son got real attached to. When the relationship didn't work out, the dog left with him.
