Default LS1 prospects

I can afford this, but it doesn't have t-tops, leather, or chrome wheels. After I buy the car, I really won't have much left to buy stuff for the car. Then again, the mileage looks good.

Here's another. The price isn't too bad.

The guy is going to send me some pictures tomorrow of it. I don't know if he'd take $6K for it, though.

i would want to know what caused the airbag deployment. Nothing may show on a carfax as her may have done it himself, being it was not hooked up.

Here's what he said:

THE OWNER BEFORE ME had hit a pole on that side or something.it was rebuilt when i bought it but yes it has a green title.and mechanically its fine.runs solid strong and straight.driver side window isnt working and passenger side is going slow.normal problam with these cars.will need tires before long.and a good detail thats about it.just selling it because i got engaged and trying to come up with some money.

I wouldnt buy any of those cars... Why are you so eager to get a highmileage POS "green title" LS1?? Sounds like your going to be running into some problems... If I couldnt get a clean "average" mile ls1, then I'd for sure get a clean low mileage lt1. I Know you arent thinking that same way bc you want an ls1... but in this case. I wouldnt get one. $~5k isnt going to get you much of anythigng

Hey, why dont you just sit on your money for a little while longer and keep saving so you can get a nicer one with less miles?

I don't have anything else to drive. I need a car. The 1999 Trans Am doesn't look too bad. I bought my '95 LT1 around 143K and put 50K on it.

Just bc your car lasted another 50k after 140K+ doesnt mean all cars will.

by the way... I know you dont care.. but before I bought this last lt1... I was looking at 2 ls1s.. both camaros both were 99s i believe one was about 6k had chrome z06s etc but 133k and the other had 102k and he wanted 5500obo.. but I just couldnt get myself to to buy a car with that many miles on it.. Mine had 89k.. but is clean as hell and has had zero problems since I bought it in march. I dont regret it at all.

Have you seen a REAL pic of the Trans Am? The pic I saw on there is a factory photo.

If you need something to drive, by something cheap that gets decent gas mileage and save up for a toy when you can really afford it. Think of it like this: if you buy a newer car with that many miles and it breaks, will you be able to afford to fix it or will it just sit in the driveway?

I've thought about buying a lower mileage LT1, but if there is a time for me to get an LS1, it's now.

I wouldnt buy any used car with over 70k and I would never buy an LT1, but thats just me. Save you cash and buy a quality car.

That's not going to happen. I'm already borrowing some of the money from my Dad, and he really doesn't want to take out anymore of his money. Like I said, it's now. My Dad is a mechanic, so fixing things isn't a problem.
