What do ya'll think?

ok, ive been thinkin which way to go..car is daily driver but im not much of a driver (short trips mainly). which one of these set-ups would make more power with the way the car is running right now? i kinda just wanted to go cam-only so im leaning on the T-Rex.

3500 stall/5.3 Heads and smaller cam (TR224) or similar

or

4000 stall/T-Rex cam only?

not a fan of bottle, or F.I. (too expensive).

My goals are for it to run like a bat out of hell. Looking for low to mid 11's stall/cam. And my other goal is to freak people out at gas stores ,lol

With the torque available in this motor, and the fact you want to drive it on the street, the lower stall should be great. Make sure you check with the cam grinder on recomendations for stall though, not with our opinions. The grinder will be able to ask you a few questions, make a few calculations against the cam/head package, and give you a solid recomendation on the stall of your converter.

i think i want to go in the (T-Rex, stock 241 heads, 3800vigilante) direction!

TXZ28LS1 Dec 12, 2007 11:44 AM

that setup with the T-REX would be vicious for a street car dude..hahaha.. my car also is a daily driver. im leaning more towards a vig 3200 and something like a low 230 cam.

i should be smarter like you.. but who said anything about a street car? i aint a fan of street racing although u do come across some vehicles from time to time..i usally only abuse my car at the track only.. gets daily driven every other day like 100 miles a week if you add it up

I would do the 224/230 cam or similar 3500 stall and a good set of heads. Asumming you have the correct bolt ons should make a good DD car.

RoWDyWS6 Dec 12, 2007 01:15 PM

seems like the right thing to do but i dont know...

DarkDemon Dec 12, 2007 01:34 PM
