Default East Texas Members: Going to Rusk Sunday!

We've got a group of people going to the Rusk dragstrip this Sunday (the 6th). I'll be driving our bone stock 99 A4 T/A and my 07 GSXR 600, we'll be taking Nars' 02 Z06 in search of a 10 second pass (we've got high hopes), and a few other people will be going too. I'd love to see some people out there!

We should be leaving out of Tyler Sunday at 11ish. Not sure of a location yet.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like to meet up with us @ 903-520-3955.

What are the prices out there? Just to spectate or run? I've never been to rusk, we all use to go to Hallsville.

We don't need any ricers out there with their nawwz!

I think it's $10 to watch and $20 to run.

always in good hooking condition. Gates also open at 12:00 and they are

If we didn't already make plans to go to CCMP we would come down there since I have never been. Where exactly is the track??

My car was acting all kinds of stupid today! It would not hook at all, I think its got a problem with the Detroit in rear end. It was good seeing the cars and meeting some of the other people on the board.

We had alot of fun today...

Track elevation is 635ft
Tempratures were in the low to mid 70's... beatiful day.

My fiance ran the T/A with a best slip of:

2.14 60'
8.85 @ 82mph 1/8th mile
13.61 @ 103.38mph 1/4 mile

Car is a 99 A4 T/A with the 3.23 gear option.
The car is bone stock except for a Flowmaster 80 series muffler.
Wheels were the stock 16's with 235 all season tires.
Now we can start playing with it and see what we can do.

I ran my 07 GSXR 600 with a slip on exhaust and ran a:

2.12 60'
7.60 @ 103.72mph 1/8th mile
11.38 @ 129.34mph 1/4 mile

My goals for today were to just run a 13.99999999 in the T/A and a 11.50 on the bike... so I'm pretty pleased with the results.

It was good to meet you today. Your car sounded great. I guess the bugs got to you as well as me. The best 60' of the day for me was 1.8x.
