Default Going Downtown Houston - Should I Bring the Vette?

This weekend, I will be making a few trips to the George R Brown Convention Center for the annual Tri Star Baseball Card show. My question is - is it "safe" to bring the Vette? From both a road/bump quality standpoint and just to leave it in a paid parking lot area?

Sarge, I didn't sell it, no I have been driving it more and gosh, I just love it.

Strini SS, the Tri Star show is something I've been looking forward to for a while now. I am trying to collect virtually every baseball card (excluding parallels, factory autos and internationals) made from 1980 to 1993. I've been buying a lot off of ebay recently, and have a good majority of them now.

My buddy drives his 07 to downtown every day for work. We've also taken it to several Astros games and parked it(and my truck) on the opposite side of 59 from downtown (at night) and never had a problem.

Well, before anyone gets too excited - the cards folks collected from like 1986 to the late 90's are for the most part, worthless. Way too mass produced. They are mainly just for nostalgic purposes for me. Remember that 1986 Donruss Canseco Rated Rookie that used to be $150 back in the day? Well, I just bought the full set for $6. It has been nuts!

For those interested in selling though - the tables to setup down there are super expensive from what I remember.

I am going to be taking my son the first time in the Impala. The second time by myself, I will take the Vette. Depending upon what I see, the Vette may not have enough storage space so I may be forced to take the Impala

Your car will be fine trust me... I see Bentlys to RR, to TT Porshe's down here daily.

From what I understand the market isn't as hot as it was in the 90's, a friend of mine had to close his doors to both of his Card shops. I think I make take a trip to the show this week.

I would worry more about parking than theft. If you can park on the street you are fine, but most of the pay lots by the GRB would be pretty scary in a Vette. Lots of broken asphalt, pot holes, etc.

Remember Billy Ripken's "**** Face" card?

The most expensive card I have right now is probably a 1952 Topps Billy Martin rookie in mint condition.

I have a Barry Bonds 3D card where you can see the juice going into his butt threw the needle! It has been tarnished over the years by his lack of good nature towards the fans.
