Default Brake problem.

I have some bracket slider pins that are frozen in their bores. Any ideas on freeing these things up?

Use a C clamp to compress them all the way in then take a pair of vice grips and twist them while pulling them all the way back out. Clean them up and put a little grease on them before you slide them back in.

Also, make sure they aren't bent. When I was doing the rear brakes on my C4, every time I tightened up the caliper, it froze, and ended up being a bent slider pin.

I had one freeze on me and I took a torch and heated it up. I had to get it so hot that the dried grease melted and bubbled up and would flame up a bit. Even then it was hard to get it out
