Hi Tony, details below. Yes, the 1/4 mile re-opens Friday, February 1. We plan to run the dragstrip on Friday nites to start then expand to Wed, Fri and Sat once it warms up in the Spring. Is anybody sick of winter yet?
We are going to build the track in 2 phases:
Phase 1 - will incorporate the dragstrip and part of the return road and have a total length of about 1.7 miles. We would like to have this track function before the end of 2008. The weather will play a big part in its construction.
Phase 2 - will add just another mile worth of track. By itself this eastern portion of the track could be run by itself and would be a 1.3 mile course while the dragstrip is run completely seperately. The 2 tracks combined are 2.54 miles long which is how it would be run most of the time. Phase 2 would likely happen in 2009. Once completed it would be the longest track in the area outside of TWS.
Combine a drift pad, dragstrip, dyno shop, TunerSchool.com, Hennessey Performance with the 2.54 mile road course and there is no other track facility like this in Texas.
Now if it would just quit raining.
