Default So i "raced" a R34 SKYLINE GT-S.. lol

Well i was on my way home when i saw a white Skyline going the oposite way. I turned around to to follow it and get it to race.. Well we stopped at a stop sign and the street ahead kinda curved alil so i didn't think he would hit it, but then i heard some tire chirp so i just was going to slowly hit it. When i was at about 1/4 throttle i was keeping up with him. So i just kept the pedal steady thinking he wasn't racing. He slowly gets ahead of me about 2 cars, then i hear him chirp in to second... I should of hit it then but i was just dumb founded at how slow this thing was, and just kept pace with him about 3-4 cars back..

So i guess in the end i lost and later tonight i saw him at this car meet and talk to him and he asked me "is that really a V8" and then i said "dude ha, i was at 1/4 throttle the whole time.." then he put his head down and told me "Oh, well its just a stock RB25det GT-S" Which it was stock but still for being the ricer's god send car.. all i can say is

My brother knows a guy that has an R33 GT-S, he said his WRX was a lot faster in the 1/4 mile. I need to ask cause he was supposed to be getting an R33 GTR, I believe thats the fast one.

What type was it that you saw the numbers for? big differences between the GT-S and GT-R. also have to look and see that all Japanese cars can not have more than something like 270bhp. The traction the GTR is why it can run but its an all AWD car that handles like a RWD drive on a road course. Thats where it made it's name.

Yea the GT-R is the fast one it has a 2.6L twin turbo AWD, and the one i raced the GT-S has a 2.5L single turbo RWD.. But still if you take a car like that to any ricer meet like the one i was just at, ppl will crowed all around it and act like its the king of the road..

It's a very sexy car, the GTR is the one that runs but most people wouldn't know the difference here. Just seeing a Skyline is cool enough.

i know the difference and that they are known for the road corse and not the strip.. but just hate ignorence ricer boys have over these cars. just cause it's a "SKYLINE" makes it the baddest and fastest car on the road no matter what trim.. It could be the basic four door version and paople we worship it..

Wow i posted this same thread in the Race-kill storys forum and just when i couldnt think anyone could be stupider than the people that post on you tube.. i just lost hope for human kind... read the posts aparently no one belives me cause the 3300lb 250bhp skyline can just womp a 390whp ls1 and it take more then 1/4-1/2 throttle to keep up with..

<EDIT>
I believe cars manufactured and sold in Japan could not be RATED at more than 276 hp or something like that. Cars like MKIV TT Supras and TT 300ZXs were all rated at 276 in Japan, but made closer to 300.

True but point is there not exactly pumping out what they can. Couple changes and the numbers can jump up a bit.

Ha ha Lol on the crowd comment..I actually saw that happen at one of the ricer meets in Houston, it was a grey GTR right hand steering wheel, driven by some Asian chick. It didn't look that astetically pleasing. I wanted to race it but. I didn't have the set to call out a chick in my stock ws6 A4.

I'm not impressed by any car that has to be powered by a motor bigger than 3 liters to make power.

Could you imagine how much that would cost to buy if they made that stock from the factory? lol

well the 300zxTT was around $40-50k in the 90's and this new GT-R thats coming out is est. $75K, so that really isn't a factor.
