Just Bought My First Bike w/pics feedback wanted
well after a couple months of looking around I finally came to the conclusion that the 2008 Ninja 250r was the best choice for my first bike because:
Good starter bike
Looks really good
You cant beat the price 3800 out the door
insurance was cheap
Besides after I ride it for about a year and get a good hang of it I will trade it in and get something bigger. You also can beat the MPG it gets
I dont have any actual pics but here is what it looks like, I choose blue but I have to wait till they bring it in so I wanted to know which should I have choose blue or black I may still have a chance on changing the color, maybe!!
well here are some factory pics please tell me what u think. good or bad choice?
Here is what the 600 looks like really isnt much of a diffrence, I actually thing the 250 looks better

I think that it is a good choice but I would not buy it new. The reason is that you will want to upgrade after a while and you will take a bigger depreciation hit with a new one. Also if you happen to make mistake and drop it at slow speeds you wont feel as bad.
The best advice I can give you is TAKE THE MSF COURSE.
I ride a Harley. That being said, I am not into going really fast on a bike. The way I look at it is normal speeds can kill you just fine without upping the risk.
Ride safe and Have fun!

I think it was a good choice but, I would've bought a used 600. Especially if you are planning to trade up later. I drove my friends r6, which he bought used for 5800, and thought it was pretty fast, untill my girlfriend just bought an 04 r1,that she got for 6800. That bike is very fast. I am learning on it but will not run it up in low gears. I have a 500rwhp c5z and this bike is just stupid fast. They are alot of fun.
